When. {When all else fails, read the directions!}

. .. ... ... . ... .. ... .. .. .. .... ... .... . .. . .. . .. . .. . ...
When it's the beginning of a new week - although the calendar says it's Tuesday - it feels like a Monday.
When you've had consecutive late nights - (not entirely your fault!)
When - you don't want to crawl out of bed - come morning!
When you don't want to go to school. Period!
When you don't know why you have to go.
When the desk-job threatens to overwhelm... the whole week long...
And the traffic going in to work was a job in and of itself..in the first place.
When the dishes mount..
And the laundry even higher.
When the house is in complete utter havoc...
When you don't even know where to start.
When  the weather sites it to be unfavorable...
it's already hot and muggy at such an early hour of the morning.  (maybe it won't be that bad, afterall..)
When you should really head to the garden and pick more beans and cucs and beets...
and do whatever needs to be done with them.
When you have a headache.
Your body aches.

When your heart breaks for the ones you love and their own stories...

When everyone (at home) needs your attention - right now!
Three- four different directions at once...

When, when, when.

When..our joy fades.
When.. temptation to .... comes.
When.. we are plain ole tired and weary.

When instead...we know...
HE IS FAITHFUL!
When we can say ... I need you.  And He comes.
Right there.  Willing.  Bending low.  Here with us.  With me.
When He is ALL I need.

I am grateful for the song that came to mind this morning...
as I prayed through the "already's" of this day.  It's a song we sing often, at church, or hear on the Christian radio stations.  Please take a moment to listen to the lyrics and/or hum along...

***
Sometimes you hear this phrase...
When all else fails, read the directions.

I encourage you, today...
Read the Word!
It is life.  It is encouragement.  It is the one true direction through life.
Reading in Titus 3, this morning...
the 4th and 5th verses stuck out to me.

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared.. he saved us, not because of anything we had done but because of his great mercy.
He saved us.
