. .. ... .. .. .. .. ... .. ... ... ... .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. . . . .. . .
Today, I'm taking an old photo of the landscape of our farm -taken from a distance - and adding something new! A *new* photo, of a passage, of Scripture, taken from the book of James; using it as an overlay. The idea of an overlay, in and of itself, is ironic for what I want to share today. :)
Consider it joy ... when you find yourselves in the trials...when there is the testing of faith...
When you lack wisdom... ask for it!!
This has been something I've been pondering for awhile. The idea of looking at life through the lens of Scripture...
Keeping God's Word ever before our eyes, especially when and while life is hard; difficult and full of testing of various kinds.
How do we keep Scripture in front of our eyes - at all times- as we view life? As parents; keepers of the home...how does this get "fleshed out" in the daily grind and day to day of our home-life and in the surveyed landscape of our souls? God's Word is clear, powerful and very attractive towards leaving a solid foundation and a fruitful godly heritage. Oh, how I want to be faithful, we want to be faithful, to lay God's Word ever before our feet that we might walk in truth.
When the landscape of our "home" is viewed - may there be a JOY that resides as it's overlay.
It's certainly something I personally want to grow in - in my perspective and oft found times of those many teachable moments in Mothering!
We may...depend upon God's promises... for He will be as good as His word. ~ Matthew Henry
Art gallery? Who needs it?
Look up at the swirling silver-lined clouds in the magnificent blue sky or at the silently blazing stars at midnight. How could indoor art be any more masterfully created than God's museum of nature?
