Enjoying the Blizzard of 2016

.. . .... . .. . . ... .. . .. .. .... .. . .. .. .. . . . .... . .

And more (snow) is on the way....
Perhaps even later this week!
****
The drifts we get around here - are amazing!!  Like the second and third photo from the top... what looks like foot tracks is really the road plowed through. It might be the angle or the way the photo was taken... but the drifts were amazing out across our front lawn area.  Our mailboxes were actually buried.  Some of those drifts were over five feet ...  and as you see, drifts almost to the top of the barn door there on that one photo.  And other parts of the driveway almost clear - due to the way the wind blew that snow around.

Nothing like feeling safe and cozy indoors.

Remembering this Blizzard of 2016 - as perfect!!

Winter finally and fully arrived in one fell swoop!

  4. Looks like the kiddos had a great time! It is pretty, but I am SO glad I'm in Tennessee...where we tend not to get that much at one time.

  5. I love how beautiful the snow looks at your place.. Most of our roads are clear now, Kylie is going back to school tomorrow (Wed), 1st day since Friday, which I am not complaining about her being home, I love when the kids were home, I didn't have to worry, and I didn't have to trek out in the snow.. Your kids are adorable and Scott is clever using a wheelbarrow to transport the snow.. Stay warm...

  6. my heart gave a squeeze looking at your photos - what my children would have given to be a part of this. Remembering our snowy days on Cowpath Road... thankful my back didn't have to deal with it. ;)
    Miss you all!!

  7. Oh Wow Bevy! What fun! Can I come and visit? Your blizzard arrived on our British shores yesterday - but only as lots of dull rain and high winds. Your version looks like WAAAAY more fun :)
