Home Quote

. .. . . ... . .. . .. .... . .. . .. . .. . .. .. .... .. . . . . .

"All people need a place where their roots can grow deep and they always feel like they belong and have a loving refuge.  And all people need a place that gives wings to their dreams, nurturing possibilities of who they might become." ~ Sally Clarkson

This quote moves me to tears.  It's because, there is a groaning... and a birth about to take place of a new home.  Not yet!!!   Not a lot has changed in regards to our property (other than up for sale, with one showing that we know of)... but, I'm feeling it.  We're looking.
Looking for that perfect home!!  However, the questions of where and when still remain.
There isn't a restlessness about that, per say,  as it is more of how will this new home fit us?

Then.  I recognize.  It isn't necessarily about the four walls  - it's about WHO is inside those four walls... that allows the feeling of HOME to permeate.

In the meantime...
Life goes on!  And, so does what we know... our home-life, here, must continue...

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
 ~ Colossians 3:23 ESV

  2. Oh Bevy...you are so right...it is about who lives within the house that makes it the home. We women, with our nesting instincts, can feather it with pretties, etc. in order to make it feel "homey", but it is those special people inside that house that truly makes it home.

  3. Bevy, I have been in your shoes, and oh how it tugs hard in so many areas especially when you love where you are, But you know what I learned, we can take any structure and make it a HOME.. its pure and simple, give it love and fill it with love and everyone will settle in nicely. Still so hard to do but in time the place left behind becomes precious memories. Love and Hugs on the rainy day in Kentucky.

  4. Oh Bevy, I needed this reminder. This current move continues to be my most difficult, in many ways. Thank you for the reminder that it's who is moving with me that is truly most important. I know wherever y'all end up, you will make it a lovely haven. Hope to see you around soon!

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trails of many kinds." ~James 1:2~
This verse I have relied on, many times.
